Lion Kills Attendant At Agodi Zoo

The Oyo State Government has announced the immediate closure of Agodi Zoo, in Ibadan, the state capital.

The government said this decision is based on the report received from the company managing it, AM & C, that one of the lions at the zoo had accidentally attacked one of the attendants, Mr. Hamzat Oyekunle popularly known as Baba Olorunwa, who later died from injuries sustained from the incident.

It will be the second time in 26 years that the state capital will witness a similar incident. The first time, one Prophet Daniel Abodunrin who attempted to relive the Biblical story of Daniel in the lion’s den, was mauled by a lion at the zoological garden at the University of Ibadan.

Meanwhile, the lions have been evacuated pending further investigations.

The government decision was contained in a statement at the weekend by the Executive Secretary, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), Mr. Yinka Fatoki who expressed shock at the unfortunate incident.

He said that the incident is particularly surprising and sad as the said Mr. Oyekunle had fed the lion for over five years and was known to have had a very good relationship with all the animals in the zoo.

Meanwhile, government representatives have visited the family to commiserate with them over the demise of Mr. Oyekunle.

Governor Fayose owes more than four months arrears – Ekiti workers

Workers in Ekiti State appear set for a showdown with Governor Ayo Fayose over his claim on Channels Television on Thursday that his administration is owing only four months arrears of salaries. The governor, who had earlier in the day declared his intent to run for the presidency of Nigeria in 2019, was asked on the propriety of his ambition when he was owing workers under him.

But the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Ekiti State, Raymond Ade Adesanmi, refuted the governor’s claim maintaining that “Fayose owes various categories of workers under him between five and eight months arrears of salaries. Adesanmi disclosed that Fayose’s claim of owing just only four months arrears is already causing tension and disquiet among the workforce.

He advised government “to always come out with correct information to douse the raging tension in the system.” Speaking with reporters in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, Adesanmi said although the workers are still loyal to the government, they won’t tolerate comments about their welfare that could strain the relationship between the workforce and the government.

Clarifying the level of government’s indebtedness to workers, Adesanmi said: “The state workers’ benefits are in different categories thus: pension, gratuity, deductions and salary. “As we speak now, the state civil servants are owed five months’ salary arrears, local government, eight months and institutions on subvention, like College of Education Ikere, College of Health Technology Ijero and Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, are owed seven month salary arrears.

“One cannot but talk about the plight of the pensioners, because one day we will all retire, either on account of age or length of service. As of now, pensioners are being owed five months pension arrears while gratuity has not been paid since 2012 when former Governor Kayode Fayemi was in the saddle. Ekiti workers are not oblivious of the economic recession that had depleted the financial strength of many states of the federation, including Ekiti.

“Let me state that we all owe it a responsibility to contribute to the development of this state, but we need to give out correct and accurate information to the public , so that the government and workers can be on the same page, otherwise there will be friction. I want to appeal to the already restive workers to be patient, particularly those who were ruffled by the information,” he said.

Nigeria at 57: Jonathan greets Nigerians, calls for oneness

Former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has sent his warm felicitations to Nigerians on the occasion of the nations 57th Independence anniversary. In a message released by his Spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, the ex-President called for oneness and accommodation, stressing that the country would surmount its present challenges, and emerge stronger.

The message said: “I wish all Nigerians a happy 57th Independence anniversary. “As a nation we are moving on. On October 1, 2010 we celebrated our Golden Jubilee as an independent nation. Again, in January 2014, we celebrated our Centenary as a nation.

And today, October 1, 2017 we are celebrating our 57th Independence Anniversary. “It may seem as though we are passing through insurmountable challenges, but I am very intimately aware of the can do Nigerian spirit which will help us surmount our present challenges. “You may say tough times are here, but I say to you that tough times do not last, but tough people do.

“I call on all Nigerians to renew faith with Nigeria as we add another year to our age. We will get better, we will be greater, of that there can be no doubt. “Let me also seize this opportunity to call for togetherness, oneness and accommodation for all. We thank God for the journey so far. We had challenges, we still have challenges but the Nigerian spirit of resilience will carry us on. I congratulate all Nigerians on our 57th Independence Anniversary.”

Nigeria at 57: IBB urges Nigerians to embrace dialogue

Former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) (rtd), has urged Nigerians to embrace dialogue in resolving the country’s challenges in order to ensure peace and development.

Babangida made the remark on Saturday in Minna to mark Nigeria’s 57thIndependence anniversary on Oct. 1.

He said even though the nation was witnessing agitations and conflicts, there was need for careful appraisal of our journey to nationhood.

“The resilience of armed forces of Nigeria to curtail secessionist agitation throughout our nation’s post independence era has reduced tensions and unnecessary destruction of lives and property.

“Dialogue remains the best option in resolving conflicts and agitations in the country.

“Recent conflicts and agitations, chanting slogan of war and hate speeches are derailing the nation’s development and unity.

“As an active participant during the civil war and as a retired military officer, with the hard lesson learnt, I will never be tired of calling for the oneness and unity of our great nation.

“We will forever be ready to sacrifice for a united and prosperous Nigeria when called again.”

The Former Military President said that during his administration deliberate policies, programmes and projects were formulated to weaken agitations for secession.

“We even created states to promote mutual and peaceful coexistence devoid of ethnic, religious and regional discrimination,’’ he said.

He enjoined the three tiers of government to continue to encourage mutual tolerance and protect the life of every Nigerian who should feel at home anywhere he found themselves in the country.

Babangida urged Nigerians to pray and work towards peace and progress of the country.

He advised those beating war drums through hate speeches to desist and support the government in resolving security and economic challenges of the country.

It can be recalled that Babangida was the 8th Head of State of Nigeria who ruled from Aug. 27, 1985 to Aug. 26, 1993.

We are committed to restructuring Nigeria – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it remains steadfast to the cause of a united Nigeria and affirmed its commitment to restructuring the country.

In its independence message to Nigerians signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the its current efforts is geared towards addressing the various agitations and some of the underlying concerns that have emerged.

The party asked Nigerians to use independence to reflect on the many challenges that the country has faced over the years and use it those to strengthen ” our resolve to build a strong, virile and united country; even as we celebrate our many triumphs over the years.”

The statement reads: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) felicitates with Nigerians on the joyous occasion of the country’s 57th independence anniversary. Indeed, Nigeria’s journey since independence in 1960 has been eventful in many respects. The fact that we have come this far as one united country gives us a reason to celebrate.

“However, we urge citizens to use this occasion to reflect on the many challenges that we have faced over the years and use those to strengthen our resolve to build a strong, virile and united country; even as we celebrate our many triumphs over the years.

Certainly, one of the great achievements of our country was the historic Presidential election of 2015. With that election, we were able to prove to the rest of the world that our democracy has come of age. That election also provided opportunity for Nigerians to press the reset buttons in the governance of our country.

“While there is still so much work to be done to achieve the Nigeria of our dreams; the All Progressives Congress (APC), is delighted with the enormous strides that have been made in the last two years under President Muhammadu Buhari to bring our nation back to the path of rectitude and sanity away from the wanton profligacy and impunity of recent years.

“The Party is confident that with the support of all Nigerians, we can reach our economic development goals sooner than sceptics believe is possible. With diversification of the Nigerian economy by the current administration, with special focus on agriculture, the creative industry, solid minerals and other viable sectors, the hidden potential of the nation will come to full bloom sooner rather than later.

“The ongoing implementation of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) must be supported by all as a basis for realizing social inclusion objectives, such as employment generation and eradication of poverty and inequality. Such safety net initiatives as the Home Grown School Feeding Programme, conditional cash transfer scheme and N-Power will guarantee that the poor and vulnerable directly benefit from economic development.

“Happily, the economy has started responding to these policy initiatives of the government as evidenced in the improvement and stability of the naira exchange rate; increase in the country’s foreign reserves and the recent announcement by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) that the country has officially come out of recession.

“In relation to recent ethnic-based agitations, we reiterate our belief that it is in our collective interest to support and remain steadfast to the cause of a united Nigeria as our strength remains in our diversity. We reaffirm our party’s commitment to restructuring and we believe that our ongoing efforts in that direction will address some of the underlying concerns that have emerged.

“As we celebrate our 57th independence anniversary, we must sustain the hope that brighter days are ahead of us. Let us join in the effort to build a more vibrant nation that every Nigerian will be proud of. The future holds great dividends.”

Don't Bathe More Than Once A Week Says Designer Vivienne Westwood

Flamboyant fashion designer Vivienne Westwood revealed the secret of her eternal youth  only taking a bath once a week.

The 76-year-old queen of punk fashion let it slip after watching her husband Andreas Kronthaler's spectacularly idiosyncratic show at Paris Fashion Week.

Asked by reporters how she managed to look so young, Westwood smiled and said, "Don't wash too much."

"She only takes a bath every week. That's why she looks so radiant," said Kronthaler, who Westwood has described as "the world's greatest designer".

"I only wash once a month," joked the Austrian-born creator, who is 25 years Westwood's junior.

Westwood, an environmentalist and vegetarian who has campaigned against the meat trade depleting water supplies, has previously said that "I just wash my bits and rush out in the morning and more often than not get in the bath after Andreas."

DR Congo Army Plane Crashes, 12 Dead

A military cargo plane crashed in Democratic Republic of Congo's capital Kinshasa on Saturday, killing its 12 crew members, the defence minister said.

"I confirm that a military aircraft crashed this morning," said Defence Minister Crispin Atama Tabe. "All 12 members of the crew died."

The Antonov transport plane had just taken off and had "several dozen people" on board, an airport source told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The plane went down in Nsele, about 100 kilometres to the east of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the source said.

Olubadan: Ibadan Mogajis spit fire, vow to impeach Ajimobi

A group of Mogajis (family heads) in Ibadanland, the ‘Authentic Mogajis’, yesterday warned Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, against deposing Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I, over the controversies trailing the review of the 1959 Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration and installation of 21 lesser kings in the city.

The Mogajis said if the governor deposed Oba Adetunji, all families in Ibadan would rise to remove him unceremoniously, through the Oyo State House of Assembly.

But the governor had during the week said he had nosuch plan, in spite of the  monarch’s provocative opposition to his government’s reform of the chieftaincy system.

The Mogaji of Akinsola Compound, Opopo Labiran, Chief Olawale Oladoja and Mogaji of Oloko Compound, Kobomoje, Chief Abbas Oloko, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan yesterday described the recent utterances of Governor Ajimobi against the Olubadan as unbearable for the true sons and daughters of Ibadanland,

The Authentic Mogajis insisted that the governor had uttered derogatory statements against the monarch more than three times in recent times, including saying one of the Olubadan’s wives was his errand girl in the past, disclosure of the amount he (governor) spent on the Olubadan coronation, and the latest one that “he could dethrone the monarch.”

The statement reads in part: “
Yes our amiable Governor Ajimobi of Oyo State has executive power to suspend or remove Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji. But he shouldn’t forget that we, the people of the state, also have the power to call for his removal through the House of Assembly.
“We are all from Ibadanland and if you suspend our king you will be removed from office unceremoniously. We use this opportunity to call on Inspector-General of Police to provide adequate security for Olubadan and all the Authentic Mogajis of Ibadanland. We call on our amiable president to wade into the undemocratic governance in Oyo state.”

On the apology being demanded by the Authentic Mogajis from Ajimobi for saying he used to send one of the wives of Olubadan to his girlfriend, the governor said:
“One of the wives of the king is like my younger sister. Some people are now saying I shouldn’t have said that; I’m repeating it, she’s my younger sister. If I’m lying, they should take me to court. They are now saying I should apologise, to who and that what? We did our childhood together and I used to send her to my girlfriend. I did not even remember again, it was a day that I went there (palace) that she reminded me. So, how is saying that she’s my younger sister a sin? The Balogun was even there that day. A younger one will always be a younger one and a father will always be a father. I don’t take this governorship position personal, because there is no post that you are in that you won’t become former.”

Umahi suspends headmaster, 7 teachers for absenteeism, gives those present N300k

Luck smiled on 15 teachers of Community Primary School, Amazu in Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State as Governor David Umahi who paid an unscheduled visit to the school doled out cash to the teachers to change their wardrobe.

Governor Umahi who engaged the teachers in academic exercise including questions in English language and mathematics expressed dissatisfaction with the way the teachers dressed to work and immediately announced cash donation of N300, 000 for the 15 teachers present during the visit.

However, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Augustine Eze and seven other teachers were not lucky as they were suspended by the angry Governor Umahi over their absence in the school during school hour, the SUN reports.

Governor Umahi further directed the suspended teachers to report to the Chairman of Ishielu local government area, Mr. Henry Eze who will then take them to the Chairman of the Universal Basic Education, UBEB for more disciplinary actions.

He expressed dismay over the nonchalant and negligent attitudes of some civil servants and warned that the state government will no longer tolerate workers who do not put interest in their jobs.

“It is very unfortunate the way and manner some of our civil servants do their jobs without passion. We have defined the contours and perimeters of our call for change in our attitude and perception of what we refer to as government property, it is absurd that pupils will be in the school and the school headmaster and teachers will brazenly absent themselves from their duty posts. We shall not take this anymore, and the headmaster and the absentee teachers are hereby suspended and are directed to report to the Chairman of the local government area who then will take them to the UBEB and they must be transferred after serving their suspension”, Umahi said.

He urged the teachers present during his visit to double their efforts and use the money he gave them to change their wardrobe and look neat and smart before their pupils. The elated teachers and the pupils chanted solidarity song as the convoy of the governor left the school.

Going Into Business Has Been My Best Decision -Dbanj

Popular Nigerian singer-songwriter, Oladapo Oyebanjo, aka D’banj, who has been dubbed one of Nigeria’s richest solo musicians, recently celebrated the first year anniversary of his CREAM platform.

In this interview with Premium Times, the Koko Master speaks about his foray into agriculture, giving back to the society as well as the direction of his career.

PT: Why did you establish CREAM platform?

Dbanj: CREAM platform was established to harness genuine creative talents across the genres of entertainment, arts and entrepreneurship in all the states of Nigeria.

The platform is not designed to sign the winners but market their content. To this end, we will collaborate with record labels to sign these talents. So, you can call CREAM the Google of African talents. I agreed to become an ambassador of Bank of Industry because they told me that they wanted to help structure and better monetise the creative industry. At the time, they did not understand how we (entertainers) ran our business.

That was when I started Koko Garri and they gave us a loan of N50 million to start CREAM platform. And we were able to pay them back in six months and this was possible because in three months we had over three million subscribers. It really surpassed my expectations.

PT: Tell us more about your interests in agriculture?

Dbanj: We launched the agriculture project in 2014 and this opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities in this sector. I am proud to tell you that I opened my own Koko Garri processing plant where we can process cassava into garri in Sagamu last year. We are also trying to expand and I am happy with that my investment in agriculture has been on autopilot. Koko Garri is here to stay and when we want to expand we will be able to meet up with the demands of the public.

Going into business and focusing on the showbiz angle of my career at the time I did, has been my greatest decision. My best career decision was not my decision directly. We all know the details so I don’t want to mention names but I know that everyone understands who or what I’m referring to.

Nigeria Health Workers’ Union Suspends Strike

The Joint Health Sector Unions and Assembly of Healthcare Professionals, JOHESU, has suspended its nine-day-old strike. The union made the decision following a nine-hour meeting with the federal government in Abuja today.

The national chairman of the union, Biobelemoye Josiah, said the strike had been suspended “in principle”, as a NEC meeting of the union will be held on Tuesday to take the final decision.

He said that the union has reached an agreement with the Federal government and workers are to resume back to work on Wednesday.

The union embarked on a nationwide strike on September 20 to protest among other issues, salaries adjustments, promotion arrears, and improved work environment for its members.

Why I’m Backing Fayose For Presidency - FFK

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has explained why he is backing the presidential bid of the governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose.

Mr. Fayose had on Thursday in Abuja formally declared his intention to run for president in 2019 on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The governor, who will complete his tenure in 2018, said he joined the race in order to tackle the myriad of problems confronting Nigeria and also engender the unity of the country which he said was being threatened by nepotism, religious bigotry and favoritism of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

In a statement sent to Premium Times on Saturday, Mr. Fani-Kayode, who was one of the prominent members of the PDP that spoke at the event, said he was backing Mr. Fayose because of his courage, frankness and conviction.

“I stood with Governor Ayodele Fayose because, unlike most, he has courage,” the former minister said.

“We come from completely different backgrounds and we do not agree on everything but we have a similar disposition and we share the same perspective on most things.

“He is not bound up in fear and he is not chained down by political correctness. He speaks the raw and bitter truth and he stands up for the weak and the defenceless.

“Like me, he moves in the prophetic and his source of strength is the spirit and power of God.

“We both love God and we are both men of strength, courage, faith and destiny. The spirit of David and Jehu runs through us both. We neither fear death nor incarceration and we hate injustice, evil and oppression.”

Mr. Fani-Kayode said the governor had done an excellent job in Ekiti State since he assumed office and had consistently and fearlessly stood against “the evil of the Buhari administration and constantly kept them on their toes.”

He added, “He is a Yoruba man who has the courage and conviction to say that he wants to be president. Why would I not stand with him and attend the launching of his campaign?

“I believe that he would make an excellent president and effect the necessary changes and restructuring that our country desperately needs.

“I am very proud of Ayo Fayose and I never desert or abandon my friends. He is and will always be my friend and brother.”

Kidnapper Evans’ Truck Yard Uncovered In Lagos... Female Secretary Arrested

Notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwumadike, aka Evans, may have more properties and assets than initially declared to security operatives.

A report by Daily Sun indicates that policemen attached to the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have uncovered a truck yard which he acquired from the proceeds of kidnapping. This is even as police detectives have arrested his secretary, one Ngozika Ezeokoye who went into hiding as soon as she learnt that police had nabbed Evans.

The rich kidnapper had confessed to the police that he used the proceeds from kidnapping to establish businesses including a haulage company that has not less than 10 trucks. He was said to have accessed the financial worth of some of his victims who patronised his haulage company.

He also told the police that four of the most recent trucks acquired were gotten from the N150million ransom paid by one of his victims. Now in police custody, Ngozika claims that she never knew that her boss was into kidnapping.
Her words: “I used to work with a bank till I retired because of the poor condition of work. I got a job with CMT motors in 2015.
“Initially, our warehouse was in Apapa till they moved us to 235 Ago Palace way in Okota in 2016. My job was to take note of trucks that go to work, their destination and amount due for each trip.
“The company has eleven trucks and all the vehicles original documents are in my possession. The name of my boss is George Onwuamadike and every money is paid into Chinwuba multi trade limited.
“I was paid N70,000 a month. I only knew about it (his arrest) on TV. I did not run away, I only travelled to visit my Uncle in the village when I received a call that I should bring the documents. I was planning to come to Lagos when the police arrested me.”

Kevin De Bruyne sends Man City top with victory over Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne netted an excellent winner as Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to move back to the top of the Premier League table.

City dominated much of the game and were rewarded when De Bruyne found the back of the net in the second half to push his side ahead of Manchester United on goal difference at the table's summit.

Chelsea had an early chance after three minutes with N'Golo Kante picking out Alvaro Morata in the middle, only for the striker to head just wide of the target.

City could have had a goal shortly after when Gabriel Jesus charged down a poor Thibaut Courtois clearance, but luckily for Chelsea the ball flew over the bar.

The visitors started to control proceedings and were denied by Courtois on the half-hour mark when the Chelsea keeper got down low to thwart David Silva at his near post.

And the Chelsea No. 1 was called into action again on the stroke of half-time, this time saving Fernandinho's header from close range.

City's dominance continued into the second half and on the 54th minute they could have edged ahead, but Raheem Sterling fired a loose ball on the edge of the box over the bar.

Chelsea managed to create an opening on the hour-mark when a quick free kick found Eden Hazard unmarked in the box, but Ederson was on hand to tip away his effort at goal.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 67th minute through City when De Bruyne received the ball on the edge of the area before firing a fine strike past Courtois and into the back of the net.

City could have killed off the game late on when Gabriel volleyed Sterling's cross goalbound, but Antonio Rudiger was able to clear his effort off the line.

You voted against your own voice, Michelle Obama mocks women who voted for Trump

Michelle Obama has a few candid words for women who chose to vote against Hillary Clinton in favour of Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

The beloved former First Lady was clear and direct as she spoke on the topic during an appearance at the Inbound 2017 conference in Boston, where she expressed confusion at the choice of women who opted to vote in favour of Trump.

“Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice,” she said.

“What does it mean for us as women that we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, ‘That guy, he’s better for me, his voice is more true to me.’

“Well, to me, that just says you don’t like your voice. You like the thing you’re told to like.”

Mrs. Obama also weighed in on the job Donald Trump is doing as President, emphasising that at the end of the day, she hopes he is successful at his job and is treated better by his political peers than President Obama was during his two terms in office.

“We want the sitting President to be successful because we live in this country,” she added.

“He is our commander in chief, he was voted in. When you’ve been in that position, you see that most former (presidents) do take a step back, they do let the current holder of the office lead.

“You do step up when you’re asked, and you do try to make sure what you say is constructive.

“Now, like I said, there was a whole party that didn’t do that for my husband, a whole political party that did not, but what we’ve learned as part of our legacy is leading with grace.”

Lastly, Mrs. Obama noted that despite consistent opposition from the GOP during his entire time in office, President Barack Obama will never stoop to the same low measures as Trump now that the shoe is on the other foot.

“Barack is not going to turn into what this President was, which is somebody tweeting in the wind and stirring up mess without really knowing what they’re talking about.”

Nigeria Will Be Worse If Buhari Wins 2nd Term – Okogie

Archbishop of the Lagos archdiocese and former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie has weighed in on the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari since his first term began in 2015 and he says "it's below average".

Okogie also warned that the country will be worse than it currently is if Buhari should win again in the fast approaching 2019 elections.

The cardinal's statements is coming shortly after former president, Olusegun Obasanjo also criticized the performance of the president. Okogie, who spoke to Telegraph, said;

"As far as Cardinal Anthony Okogie is concerned, his first term is bad; I think it’s below the average mark. So, this will not give him a better chance to stand for a second term. From what is on ground, I don’t think he will get anywhere.

"The main thing that Nigerians want now is to see the dividends of democracy in action. They are telling us that we have pulled out of the recession. Go to the market, there’s nothing like that. There’s no sign of improvement. What is sold for N10 still sells for N10 or even at N12. Is that what you call improvement of the economy?

"They promised to do everything but on getting into the saddle, they keep procrastinating. Look at the state of the nation today. It’s as if there is no government.

"Look at the parliament, what are they doing in the House of Representatives? What are they doing in the Senate? What are the so-called big men doing? It’s very painful. We are going from bad to worse. Very soon, we’ll get to worst if there’s no change before December.

"Everybody is taking the laws into their hands the way they like. Would you call this a nation? You can’t walk freely on the street. You are not sure of having a meal per day. You are not sure of seeing tomorrow.

"People are not asleep. People are opening their eyes every day to see what these people are doing. And that is why they are struggling to have their man at the top. There are many other people lined up. And we’re talking about Buhari and Atiku.

"Can they even win the primaries? These noisemakers are just making people to know that they are alive."

Being A Father Is Very Humbling – Dbanj

Popular Nigerian musician, Dbanj in a recent interview revealed how fatherhood has changed him entirely and also his decision making:

“Being a father is very humbling. I have always acted as a father to a lot of young artistes from the days of Mo Hits but now, I have a child of my own. When he was born, I was in the hospital and as I held his hands, it made me realise that to whom much is given, much is expected. This is someone’s life that I am responsible for. It is not just about fatherhood but now I have a family. Before I became a family man, I took decisions without looking back. I could decide to sleep on the Mainland; I could decide to chill with my friends. But now, I have responsibilities.

I have people that I am responsible for and we are growing together. The good thing is that I have a great partner and I love it. Each time I look into the eyes of my son, I know that it is real; I have to keep working harder,” he said.
